Image to Text (OCR)
Stop retyping text from screenshots and scans. Drop an image or scanned PDF and copy the result.
The first run downloads the recognition engine (about 6 MB). You can edit the result directly.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you add is uploaded to any server.

- 2

- 4

Private OCR
Most free OCR sites upload your image. This one runs the open-source Tesseract engine inside your browser, so documents never leave your device.
Better results
Crop to just the text area, use straight, well-lit photos, and double-check numbers — OCR can confuse 0/O and 1/l.
