Add Page Numbers to PDF
Merged reports and portfolios are hard to navigate without page numbers. Drop a PDF, pick a position, done.
The preview shows the first numbered page. Landscape and rotated pages are handled as they appear.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you add is uploaded to any server.

Your content is untouched
Numbers are drawn on top of each page, so text stays searchable and nothing else changes. If a page already has a number at the bottom, choose another position or turn on the white box.
Book-style numbering
"Bottom outer" puts odd numbers on the right and even numbers on the left — ideal for double-sided printing.
FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library.
Does it work with rotated pages?
Yes. Numbers are placed relative to how each page appears on screen.
Can I start from page 3?
Skip the first page or change the starting number. For more complex cases, split the PDF first.
