How to use

  1. 1

Drop your logo or drawing into the box above, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.

  2. 2

Pick the kind of image. Logo / flat art suits simple-color logos; Line art is best for stamps and handwriting.

  3. 3

Adjust colors and detail while watching the preview. For white backgrounds, turn on “make white transparent”.

  4. 4

Click Download .AI for a file that opens straight in Illustrator — or grab SVG, EPS or PDF.

Raster vs. vector, in plain words

JPG and PNG images are grids of colored dots (pixels), so they get blocky when you enlarge them. Vector files like AI, SVG and EPS store shapes — "draw this curve, fill it with this color" — so they stay sharp on a business card or a billboard. That's why printers and sign makers ask for them.

How the conversion works

The tool first reduces your image to a handful of key colors, then traces the outline of each color region with lines and curves — the same idea as Illustrator's Image Trace. Shapes are grouped by color, so after ungrouping in Illustrator you can recolor or delete parts right away.

What converts well

Great resultsRougher results
Logos with few colors, icons, cartoons, stamps, signatures, handwriting, line drawingsPhotos, heavy gradients, tiny images (under ~200px), blurry or noisy JPGs

Bigger, sharper originals give better vectors. Photos turn into poster-like art — that's the nature of vectors, not a flaw of this tool. For a perfect logo, use the result as a clean starting point.

FAQ

Will the AI file really open in Illustrator?

Yes. Illustrator opens PDF-based AI files natively, and that's the format we save. You'll see shapes grouped by color, ready to ungroup and edit. EPS and SVG are available too.

Is my logo uploaded anywhere?

No. Tracing happens entirely in your browser — it even works offline once the page is loaded.

The result looks bumpy. What can I do?

Lower the detail for smoother curves, or reduce colors to remove speckles. If text gets mushy, raise detail and enable high-resolution tracing. A larger original helps most.

Can I get a transparent background?

Turn on “make white background transparent” to drop white areas. Note that white parts inside the artwork are removed too. Transparent PNGs stay transparent automatically.
