How to use

Choosing an effect
Pixelate or blur for faces and backgrounds; a black box for anything that must never be readable — ID numbers, account numbers, addresses. Small text under a light blur can sometimes still be guessed.
Permanent by design
The saved file has the covered pixels replaced, so the original can't be recovered from it. Location data (EXIF) is removed as well.

No — everything happens in your browser.
Does changing the effect affect existing areas?
Yes, the effect and strength apply to all areas you've drawn.
Can I redact a PDF?
Convert the page with PDF to JPG, redact it here, then turn it back with JPG to PDF.
